Stationary LLW supercompaction system

Design for Low Level Waste
The developed LLW design enables Fontijne Grotnes to propose a cost effective way for
volume reduction. The Supercompactor design for LLW is available for 1500 and 2000 ton and drum handling is offered. The innovative design of the LLW provides a basic as well as an economical design to meet customer requirements.

Compacting capabilities
The 20,000 kN Fontijne Grotnes Supercompactor is capable of achieving significant volume reduction. For some types of radwaste a final density very near the maximum possible can be reached.

1. Electric motors                   2. Steel scrap parts                   3. Paper and rags
Final density 3,4 kg/dm          Final density 3,0 kg/dm            Final density 0,9 kg/dm
